Business segments

The Wijma Group specialises in the following 5 business segments:

Products for civil engineering projects

Because of their physical properties, African hardwoods such as Azobé, Tali or Okan are ideally suited for use in land and marine based engineering projects. We offer a professional range of products which provide excellent resistance to direct contact with soil and water. For example: sheet-piling, shoring materials, jetties, railway sleepers and dragline mats.

Prefabricated products and projects

Galleries, landings, platforms and support structures, noise barriers, guard rails and lock gates: we can offer complete solutions. The possibilities are endless and the results can be inspiring. The Wijma project department can be called upon at all stages of a project: consultancy services from the very outset, advising on woods and structural details, detailed constructional calculations and drawings on effectuation of the order, right up to delivery of the prefabricated constructions for efficient assembly by yourself or our own construction teams.

Products for the construction of floors for trailers and platforms

In situations where floors have to bear a considerable load, Wijma is ideally placed to provide floors for trailers and stage platforms which can be manufactured in standard or bespoke formats, for example, from Keruing solid wood or multiplex panelling. Wijma can look after the whole process, from expert advice on floor applications to the delivery of a customised kit.

Garden wood

From durable planting poles, timeless garden fences to high-quality decking for your patio, we have a small but excellent range of garden products made, for example, from Tali, Padouk or European Oak. As a distributor, we can help you develop your very own FSC or PEFC-certified range of products, pre-packed for the retail sector.

Various types of wood

Woods for frames, sawn timber for framework or quality interior construction; the Wijma Group produces sawn timber for countless applications. We have all the knowledge on specific wood at our disposal to deliver sawn timber, for example: Sipo, Sapeli, Iroko, Moabi, Khaya, Samba and many other hardwoods.
